The cloth
Most shawls are sold on how they look. This one is sold on how it behaves at 2pm.
Composition: 70% Cotton, 30% Bamboo Viscose. We write it out in full because a lot of cloth sold as “bamboo” is really viscose made from bamboo pulp, and you deserve to know which you are buying.
Takes up the sweat
Viscose fibre absorbs far more moisture than polyester before it feels wet. On a humid day the cloth pulls damp off your neck instead of sealing it in.
Soft, not slippery
Bamboo viscose is what makes it feel smooth rather than papery. The cotton in the blend gives it grip, so the fold stays where you pinned it.
Light enough for here
135 grams across a 180 x 75 cm cut. Thin enough for a 33°C afternoon, opaque enough that you do not need a second layer.
What we will not tell you
That bamboo cloth kills bacteria, blocks smells, or breaks down in your garden. Those claims get repeated everywhere and they do not survive the process that makes the fibre soft. We would rather tell you the truth and keep you than sell you once.

Inner first
Put the stretch inner on and pull it just past the hairline. This is what stops the shawl creeping back.

Uneven sides
Lay the shawl over your head with one side roughly a hand longer than the other. Pin once under the chin.

Throw and pin
Take the long side over the opposite shoulder and pin at the shoulder seam. That is it, no second pin.
Not sure it is long enough? Measure from the top of your head, over your chest, to where you want the drape to end. If that is under 90 cm you have room to spare with this cut.

Held up through a full teaching day
Wore it from 7am assembly to 5pm and it did not stick to my neck once. The fold stayed where I pinned it, which my old chiffon never did.
Softer than I expected for the price
Ordered on WhatsApp at night, got the tracking the next afternoon. The Mocha is exactly the colour in the photo, not darker.
Good, but check the opacity
Lovely weight and no ironing needed. Warm Ivory does need an inner if you have dark hair, exactly like the site says. Fair enough, they told me first.

Took the bundle. Soft Black for work, Sage for weekends, Forest for Raya. Washed twice already and the edge has not curled.

So ask us the hard questions before you pay. What the blend really is, how see-through it is in sunlight, whether the colour matches your photo. We answer on WhatsApp ourselves, not a bot.

Before you ask
The awkward questions, answered
Is this real bamboo, or bamboo viscose?
Bamboo viscose, blended with cotton. The bamboo is broken down chemically and spun back into fibre, which is what makes it soft. Anyone selling a soft "100% bamboo" shawl is almost certainly selling the same thing under a shorter name.
Does bamboo fabric kill bacteria or stop smells?
No, and we will not say it does. Raw bamboo has some antibacterial behaviour, but it does not survive the process that turns it into soft cloth. What you do get is a fibre that takes up moisture well, so it feels drier for longer.
Is it see-through?
About 7 out of 10 on opacity. The pale shades need nothing underneath in normal daylight. In strong backlight, or with Warm Ivory over dark hair, an inner helps.
Will the colour fade?
Not if you keep it out of direct sun to dry. Hang it in the shade. Sunlight is what pulls colour out of a dyed viscose blend, not the washing.
How do I wash it?
Cold hand wash, or a gentle machine cycle inside a laundry bag. No bleach, no tumble dryer. It dries fast and does not need ironing.
How long does delivery take?
We post from Malaysia in 1-2 working days and send you the tracking number the moment it leaves. West Malaysia is usually another 1 to 3 working days. East Malaysia takes longer and is quoted before you pay.
